Hi! Welcome to the Randy Klein website.
The site contains information about the music that I play and compose. I will be placing new music on the composition pages as well as announcing when new musical works are being released and performed.
Check out the 'Composition Page'. Over the years, I have written many songs and lots of instrumental music. The subjects and the projects have been varied and sometimes a bit strange. My feeling is that if it ‘is’, then there should be a song written for it. The 'Composition Page' contains many of my songs along with MP3s and PDFs of the lead sheets. If you are so inclined, you can also download these files so that you can experience my music in your own creative ways.
I will be updating the song library ‘Composition Page' as well as my Performance Calendar on a regular basis.

FOR MY PEOPLE
I am writing the music for 'FOR MY PEOPLE' the renowned poem by Margaret Walker. The premiere will be at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia next April 2011. The work consists of multiple lead vocalists and a chorale of 75 voices. Pretty cool!.....

NEWS! Randy Klein is recipient of the BMI Foundation Jerry Harrington Award. This is a musical theatre award given for outstanding work as a composer in musical theatre. The award presentation will be on June 8, 2009 at the BMI's New York offices with a reception to follow.
